Olympus E-P1, gimme, gimme, gimme!

Check it out, that is one good looking little camera. Now I have mentioned this camera on this blog before. And now that I have seen it, I want it. I doubt the bank balance will stretch that far, but a bloke needs to have a few things on the WANT list just in case he wins the lottery.

This is the new Micro four thirds system that Olympus and Panasonic have devised. It allows for interchangeable lenses and has got the photography world all hot and bothered at the moment. More about it here.

DPreview already have some shots taken with this camera online here. They look quite good.

Phone camera/Camera phone, who uses it?

Given the previous blog post talks about mobile (cell for the US audience) phone cameras, I thought I would ask the question. Anyone actually use their mobile phone camera? I know I do, but I have heard plenty of people scoff at the thought of it. Well it sure beats trying to get a 5D in my pocket. And it is handy for a quick shot of something you see in your travels.

Without the phone camera I wouldn’t have got this shot.


Granted, the cameras is mobile phones aren’t exactly the best cameras around (especially ones that are 12MP) but they are more than sufficient in grabbing a moment in time. Seeing all the people using their phones on Twitter is exactly what I mean.

So, who uses their mobile phone camera?
