It is that time of year again, time for Canon’s Photo5 competition. Opening for registration next Monday August 31, this competition is in its 3rd year, and I expect the registrations will go pretty quickly. So if you are up for a challenge, you had better jump in quick. The little cardboard boxes always seem to generate lots of chatter on photography forums all over Australia.

It has been mentioned to me that I take a lot of photographs of pelicans. Well, living on the coast, and being surrounded by waterways, fishermen and boatramps, it is pretty easy to get photographs of them. And as you can see from the following photos, they are such terrific subjects.
