Every day or so, I am going to pick a photo off Flickr that I really love, and if it is ok with the photographer, feature it on my blog to show others.

This first photo is from a good mate, Pete, from sunny Galway in Ireland. When I asked him for permission to put it on the blog, I explained I needed a witty name for this daily (well, every day or so, lets see how it goes) article. His excellent response was “Explorer Shuttle”.

For the non Flickr people, Explore is a sort of popularity contest on Flickr. Some people love it, others hate it. Whether you love it or hate it, it is here to stay.

So, for my very first Explorer Shuttle, I have picked this terrific shot from Pete. I love the way the sun is shining through the Ferris wheel. The B&W treatment just seems to enhance the feel.
