Fireworks, they were impressive when I was 7 years old. These days, I am not a huge fan. That might explain my Flickr stream of 3300 odd photos, and not a one of fireworks.
But, if you are a champion of the pyrotechnic visual display, I have some great news. The link below will give you some great tips on how to best capture fireworks with photography.

The art of photo manipulation is the process of making changes to your photographs, usually in a way that takes them away from reality. Photo manipulations are used everywhere, but can mainly be seen in advertising, where companies try to capture the public’s attention with manipulated scenes featuring their latest products.

Proving that it is more about the person behind the camera, than the actual camera itself, Rick Sammon has an interesting write up about his experience with a compact camera.
I use the word “confessions” in jest because I’m known for shooting with top-of-the-line digital SLR cameras that produce knockout images in all lighting conditions, indoors and out. In addition, these digital SLRs accept more than 50 lenses and dozens of accessories that expand the camera’s capabilities. So like some pros I know, I’d have to plead the Fifth (tongue in cheek) when asked about shooting with a less-than-the-best camera.

Taken at work on the N95. I work for Telstra, Australia’s largest Telecommunications company. I am a designer. I design infrastructure projects. It certainly isn’t my ideal job, sitting at a desk all day using Microsoft Word, but it pays the bills and I get to live in my little patch of paradise.
