Olympus E-P1, Will It Blend?

After reading the odd review or 50, and scouring the interwebs for sample photos, I jumped onto YouTube and did a search on Olympus E-P1. At the very bottom of the first page of search results was one that shocked and horrified me. That bugger, Tom Dickson, was about to throw a shiny new E-P1 into his world famous blender! Oh the pain. I wasn’t sure I could watch. I am glad I did.

Check it out, that is one good looking little camera. Now I have mentioned this camera on this blog before. And now that I have seen it, I want it. I doubt the bank balance will stretch that far, but a bloke needs to have a few things on the WANT list just in case he wins the lottery.

This is the new Micro four thirds system that Olympus and Panasonic have devised. It allows for interchangeable lenses and has got the photography world all hot and bothered at the moment. More about it here.

DPreview already have some shots taken with this camera online here. They look quite good.

Seeing as how I can’t get my grubby mitts on an original Olympus Pen camera, this thing looks very tasty.

We were visiting the Olympus dpreview forums, where we noticed this thread pointing to this picture at Hong Kong site omuser.com.

It looks like the top view of what could be a new Olympus Micro Four Thirds camera with a 17mm f2.8 pancake lens attached?
